Romans 16:20
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”
This powerful verse starts with a salutation that no other power can boast of. As children of this God, peace is our portion – as it says in another Bible verse that our God is the source of peace that passes all understanding. What an encouragement to start with!
Satan has made several attack on God’s creation, starting from the Garden of Eden. This verse is a reminder of the vow that God had made when right after the great fall, He said that the son of man will crush Satan under his feet. This is a verse that can give us, Christ’s followers an immense encouragement in knowing that our enemy has already been defeated by our God.
We can continue our journey on earth with the blessed assurance that we are already on the victor’s side.
